Mind Set - The Key to a Great Business Portrait

Ruben realized early in his career that he loved throwing parties. Welcoming his guests to have fun and enjoy themselves has been the driving purpose in his life as a restauranteur. When Ruben began pursuing a career, it was not in the restaurant business, even though his father was a restaurant owner. But, years later, when his father asked him to take over a newly acquired restaurant that needed much work, Ruben knew that he needed a focus to energize him and the new restaurant. He realized that often after a long week of work, when rest would be in order, he loved to throw lavish parties for his friends. He knew that entertainment was his passion and could focus his energies. This passion has since become the foundation of his current restaurant, Rubi Agave.

I love hearing my client's origin stories. It is wonderful to listen to their experience and see how it informs their purpose and passion. In addition, it puts my client in a great mental space to craft the portraits.
By keeping the story front of mind, we can focus on what message my client wishes to convey to the viewer. Combined with proper posing, lighting, and expression, the portrait will become an essential part of their marketing message.
